IU Condor Render Portal

The current workflow overview of the condor user portal. The users has no direct interaction with the condor master system or the individual worker machines, just the portal.

The Condor Render Portal uses available students systems as a distributed render cluster. JSR 168 portlets are used to submit jobs, check the status, and interact with the render systems. There are currently over 2800 systems available for the Render Portal, all of which are on a 3 year life cycle, guaranteeing a fairly fast and up to date set of hardware. Currently Maya and Blender are supported on the render server, but other rendering clients can easily be depoyed.

  • 5.3 Teraflop aggregate
  • Over 50% system availability daytime, 90% nights
