Constrained Navigation Research

A diagram of three possible constrained travel paths between two  locations in a large-scale architectural environment.
The red path represents a naive, shortest distance strategy;  the blue path follows a detailed navigation grid which avoids collisions 
with objects in the environment; the green path ascends to an overview grid for improved orientation within the environment.
