Open Inventor for Human Performance Studies

Status: In progress - advisory role only, no specific deliverables

Notes: Researcher is Bill Anderst. Goals include: better human model, more flexible model, use of texture-mapping and transparency in rendering, distribution of anaylsis animations to athletes over the Web.

Examples:

a representation of all the points in the data set. (25 landmark positions x 101 frames)

the motion capture data for one frame with a sphere at each landmark. Here's the animated Inventor file (205K) of the data. (It should be readable by most VRML viewers.)

the landmark data with some rough body parts added. Here's the animated Inventor file (489K) of the data. (It should be readable by most VRML viewers.)

NOTE: Inventor files are not optimized!
